VDI Services Overview

This is a facilitated engagement to help the customer assess their current smart manufacturing maturity level, create a high-level roadmap, and determine the potential value of a smart manufacturing program. This is an industry standard program originally designed by CESMII (The USA Smart Mfg Institute). VDI is one of four companies across the country to be certified for this process.

This is an engagement to create a detailed blueprint for a smart manufacturing program. This includes detailed use-case definition, detailed future-state vision, and a detailed value proposition development. Project components include requirements for infrastructure, hardware upgrades, software, process change, cultural change, and employee upskilling. This engagement could be performed after the Smart Manufacturing Assessment or on its own. 

The purpose of this engagement is to assist the customer to select solutions and vendors for the components of their smart manufacturing program. 

The purpose of this engagement is the installation, configuration and commissioning of the smart manufacturing hardware and software selected by the customer. 

This is a unique, value-centric engagement to the customer that dramatically increases the probability of a successful smart manufacturing program for the customer. Through this program the customer will dramatically increase solution adoption, expand use case coverage over time, adapt their existing processes to utilize new capabilities, and much more. 

These services focus on facilitating corporate strategies such as increased agility / resiliency, sustainability, operational excellence initiatives, digital transformation, improved supply chain efficiency, and more. 

This is an ongoing service, provided as a monthly subscription, where a VDI resource is a fractional digital transformation officer for the company.
